Children's lives
Look Back (may take some time to load)
In 1983, a group of fellow photojournalists and myself set out to join a long trek from the Southern Province of Laguna and walked hundreds of kilometers to Manila. We were documenting thousands of Peasant folk who were out to boycott the elections. The battlecry of the times were, "Dismantle US Marcos Dictatorship, Boycott Elections!".
A few days ago marked the start of the campaign period for the Midterm elections. Two decades ago , the signs of the times are the same. The people needed the government to taka real care of it's people.Today, the issues remain the same. Nothing has really changed since then.
